End User License Agreement for VidTrigger
Effective date: 28 March 2026

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you and Vincent Hearn, marketing VidTrigger under the brand Outpost 42.

This Agreement governs your use of VidTrigger where the software is obtained directly from Outpost 42 or by any non-App Store distribution method unless a different licence is expressly stated at the point of download or sale.

By downloading, installing, activating, or using VidTrigger, you agree to this Agreement.

1. Parties

For the purposes of this Agreement:

  • Licensor / Developer / Publisher: Vincent Hearn
  • Brand / Marketing name: Outpost 42
  • Software: VidTrigger

2. App Store version

If you obtain VidTrigger through the Apple App Store, your use of that version is governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement together with any applicable Apple terms.

This Agreement is intended primarily for copies of VidTrigger obtained directly from Outpost 42 outside the Apple App Store.

3. Licence grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Vincent Hearn grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use VidTrigger for your own personal or internal business use.

This licence does not transfer ownership of the software.

4. Licence scope

Unless otherwise stated at the point of sale, your licence:

  • is for use only by the purchaser or authorised user
  • may be limited to a specified number of devices or activations
  • may not be resold, sublicensed, rented, leased, shared, or distributed except where expressly permitted in writing
  • is subject to any licence validation or activation requirements used by the software

A licence may be limited to up to 2 device activations unless otherwise stated at the point of sale.

5. Activation

Copies of VidTrigger supplied directly by Outpost 42 may require licence activation and validation.

You agree not to:

  • bypass or interfere with activation systems
  • use invalid, unauthorised, or fraudulent licence keys
  • attempt to exceed the permitted number of activations
  • tamper with licensing, access control, or security measures

Vincent Hearn reserves the right to suspend or revoke licences that are used in breach of this Agreement.

6. Restrictions

You must not, except where prohibited by law from restricting such activity:

  • copy the software except as reasonably necessary for installation and backup
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code
  • modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from the software
  • remove copyright, branding, licence, or proprietary notices
  • use the software in a way that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or intended to damage the software or its services
  • distribute or make the software available to third parties without permission

7. Ownership

VidTrigger is licensed, not sold.

All intellectual property rights in VidTrigger, including the software, branding, design, content, and associated materials, remain the property of Vincent Hearn and/or Outpost 42, except where otherwise stated.

8. Updates

Vincent Hearn may provide updates, bug fixes, patches, or improvements at his discretion.

Nothing in this Agreement guarantees that updates, new features, or ongoing support will always be provided.

Support is provided at reasonable discretion and may be limited to genuine customers and supported versions of the software.

10. Acceptable use

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of VidTrigger complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.

You are also responsible for ensuring that any video, MIDI, audio, content, or media used with VidTrigger is lawfully obtained and used.

11. Disclaimer

VidTrigger is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

While reasonable efforts are made to provide a reliable product, Vincent Hearn does not guarantee that VidTrigger will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every setup, or suitable for every intended purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vincent Hearn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to the use of VidTrigger.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Termination

This licence will terminate automatically if you breach this Agreement.

Upon termination, you must stop using VidTrigger and delete all copies in your possession or control.

Vincent Hearn may also suspend or revoke access to activation services where reasonably necessary to protect the software, business, or other users.

14. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law applies otherwise.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless applicable law requires otherwise.
